How do I access Ice Station loans?

You can access our loan services by downloading the Ice Station app from Google Play. Simply search for "Ice Station" in the Google Play Store, download the app, and sign up using your phone number.

What is the maximum loan amount I can borrow?

Our current loan amounts range between TSh 50,000 and TSh 1,200,000. Repaying your loans as agreed can increase your borrowing limit.

Which networks are supported by Ice Station?

At present, Ice Station supports Safaricom. We are working on expanding our network support in the near future.

Can I delete my account?

According to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, we collect data to assess your loan eligibility and do not sell or share this information for other purposes.

If you wish to end your use of Ice Station, you can uninstall the app.

Eligibility Criteria

What do I need to qualify for an Ice Station loan?

To apply, you will need a phone number from MTN, AIRTEL, GLO, or 9mobile and answer a few questions. We will also request access to your phone data to determine your eligibility.

How does Ice Station decide on loan approvals?

We evaluate data from your phone, including handset details and financial transaction messages, along with your repayment history with Ice Station, to determine your creditworthiness and loan offers.

Why was my loan application rejected?

If your application is declined, don’t be discouraged. It may take multiple attempts to qualify. Continue to maintain your phone data and reapply after the suggested period.

How can I improve my chances of getting approved?

To enhance your approval chances, ensure your phone data is up-to-date, maintain a good credit history with other lenders, and accurately input your account details.
